Gastromaquia @ Madrid, Spain

Found this tapas place from tripadvisor which is between our hotel and the shopping district. They do not have an English menu but their servers will be very happy to explain their menu. The restaurant is very small so either go early or make a reservation. Food was delicious, the mojito sorbet was delightful.

We spent the afternoon walking along La Ramblas and the neighbourhood. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Mercat La Boqueria – they have all kinds of fruits, meat, seafood, etc., and also have cooked food.  Great spot for seafood and tapas.  OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Placa ReialOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Afternoons are really long at this time of the year as sunset is around 9.30pm and a lot of restaurants do not start dinner service until 8pm or later.

We managed to walk all the way down to Monument a Colon, Rambla de Mar and La Barceloneta. (it was a LOT of walking for the 1st day….)OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
