This is a new French restaurant located in a new hotel. The place is not easy to find so best to go by taxi.
Very spacious restaurant with high ceiling. I imagine it will be very comfortable during the day as well.
There are two tasting menu, 6-course and 9-course and we went for the 9-course.
Very pretty cocktail – the middle was passion fruit ice cube.
The restaurant goes the Asian way for food sharing and they serve their dishes by placing them in the center turn table. I guess it would be more interesting if there are more people at the table. And it soon became a bit of a nuisance when hot dishes came and the plates were hot.
Oyster – the most impressive part of this dish was actually the green leaf on the upper left side…it is called the “oyster leaf” and it actually tasted like oyster!!
Scallop – one of my favourite dish of the night
Lobster – my other favourite of the night
Pigeon – perfectly done
Dessert were a bit too sweet for my taste but nevertheless finished most of it
The restaurant kindly arranged a slice of cake and candle for my hubby.
Overall it was a very enjoyable meal. Excellent ingredients and perfect cooking. Cocktails were good. Very value for money. Highly recommended!
A very popular Italian restaurant in the neighbourhood. Delicious food, generous portion and affordable price. Don’t expect to find a table without reservation on the weekend!
Calamari & Shrimp – fresh and crispy
Beef carpaccio with truffle
Egg plant lasagne
Squid ink spaghetti with prawns in tomato sauce – spaghetti was al dente; prawns were fresh and juicy
Ham and mushroom pizza
They offer value for money lunch sets and we tried their $13.90 sets the other day…
Garden salad with beet root and cheese
Cream of carrot soup
Mushroom aglio olio
Italian sausage pizza
This restaurant is most famous for their roasted suckling pig but we tried some of their other signature dishes instead…which were also delicious, a great meal overall. By the way, their dim sums are also good and has a wide variety.
Sauteed Goose Intestine in Soy Sause – cooked perfectly
Poach Clams in Broth – very fresh clams, my personal favourite …
Giant Razor Clams in Black Bean Sauce – very soft and fresh
Deep-fried Pigeon – a bit dry
Steamed Sponge Cake
We usually avoid restaurants at main attraction points but we have been told that this place is good though price on the higher end. It turned out that food was good, location excellent – this will be one of the place we can take visitors to.
Deep fried yo tau with fish paste – almost all seafood restaurants have this dish but in my opinion, this was the best out of all the ones I have had.
Kai-lan in dual styles – haven’t had this for a long long time – nicely done.
Braised port loins with buns – tasty!
Black pepper crab & chilli crab – crabs were very fresh and sauce not too hot
Getting to Asiatique from Anantara is just a 10-min boat ride. This turned out to be very convenient for our stay. Lots of restaurant options and numerous small shops selling every kind of products.
Weather was great during our stay so it was lovely spending the evening there.
We ate one of the Chinese seafood restaurant. It was a good meal. There are of course cheaper options but it was more relaxing here.
Raw shrimps in spicy sauce – delicious! Ton Yam Soup – it was too hot for me. Squid with salted egg yolk
Grilled Prawns – I prefer the raw version Curry Crab – Yummy!Omelette for kids
