Port Campbell, Great Ocean Road, Australia – Dec 2015

Port Campbell is a small town west of Twelve Apostles, we came here for our meals during our stay at Macka’s Farm.  There are a number of hostels and motels in the town, and a variety of restaurants.

Wright Brothers @ Kingly Court, London

Our last meal in London – very satisfying and very value for money!IMG_3456 IMG_3442 IMG_3443 IMG_3445 IMG_3459 IMG_3460 These prawns were so good we had a second helping but I still didn’t get to eat.IMG_3462

Fresh & tasty seafood platter.  Quite a big portion for two.IMG_3461 IMG_3463 IMG_3465 IMG_3466 Not the best kind of lava cake and we were too full.IMG_3467 This was really good and refreshing, and with alcohol.IMG_3471

Note: Kingly Court has many restaurants and bars, great ambience, worth checking this place out.IMG_3455 IMG_3450

Le Gavroche @ London

Classic French fine dining yet kids are allowed.  Very glad we came here cause most of the fine dining French restaurants I wanted to go to in Paris were closed during the time we went there.  Dining area is some what crowded and dark (for photos) but food was excellent.

Loch Fyne Seafood & Grill @ Covent Garden, London

The key reason why we picked this restaurant is because it is right next to the theatre but it is also a popular restaurant with many branches across the country. Food was well above average but service was a bit slow.  However, it is a good meal option for theatre goers. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2798 Lobster bisque – yummy! Never thought of adding cheese to lobster bisque but it was actually quite nice.IMG_2799 Lobster spaghetti – kids were happy with it.IMG_2800

Issaya Siamese Club @ Bangkok, Thailand

This is one of the acclaimed Thai restaurant in Bangkok.  It is hidden in some residential area in the city and best to go by taxi.  Very beautiful interior with a casual ambience.

IMG_0728 BeefIMG_0729 Lamb Shank – big portion for two!IMG_0732

Rice – my favourite dish of the meal, flavourful! IMG_0734 Prawns – juicy!IMG_0751 Chicken – some parts are a bit dry but others are goodIMG_0754 Panna cotta IMG_0758 Homemade marshmallows IMG_0759 A corner of the buildingIMG_0760Food were nicely cooked overall.  Portions are big and we weren’t able to finish everything.  They certainly use herbs and spices but it did not feel overwhelming.

I would recommend this restaurant for a relaxing romantic dinner out and probably even better with a big group of friends!
