Osaka, Japan

Our last stop & where we spent most of the time shopping…no sightseeing as we have been here before & comparing to the other stops, it is less interesting.

Food is also great…

Very popular cheese cake, straight from the oven. Usually Japanese cheese cakes are like sponge cake but this one feels like foam when you touch it. 🙂 Best after chilled.

Takayama, Japan

Takayama wasn’t in my original plan but saw info about it when I did my research and decided even though the train rides are long, it is probably still worth it…

Found this website during my planning: http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ . Very useful for sorting out transportation route! It helped me figured out how to go from Nara to Takayama as it wasn’t that straight forward.

As it turns out, Takayama is a beautiful little town and specialized in delicious Hida beef!

Kyoto, Japan

We chose to visit areas in Kyoto that we haven’t been to before – Gion (祇園) & Kawaramachi (河原町).

More cherry blossom!

Nara, Japan

First stop of our 1-wk Japan trip..cherry blossoms were beautiful and the famous deers at Nara park were certainly fun to feed. Food were excellent of course!

They are every where in Nara Park! Only supposed to feed with some specially made biscuit…very greedy and hungry even though tourists feed them all day long!

Unagi Don – unagi was grilled to perfection – crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside!20130401-195726.jpg

These noodle in thick chicken broth were also very good, especially on a cold night…(pardon for the low quality photos)
