Mount Gambier, Australia – Dec 2015

Mount Gambier was a nice change of view for our journey.  We visited a few caves and sinkholes in the area.

The beautiful Umpherston sinkhole.

And of course we tried the famous “blue drink”. IMG_1173

Last but not least the breathe taking Blue Lake by day and night.

Warrnambool, Great Ocean Road, Australia – Dec 2015

We booked a 2-room apartment at Blue Whale Motor Inn & Apartments for our 1-night stay in Warrnambool.  It is just a few minutes drive away from the town centre.  The apartment was spacious and clean.

There are quite a lot of restaurants in town but a number of the popular ones were closed for the holidays.  We had a good meal at Piccolo Restaurant, one of the popular ones based on reviews online.

Port Campbell, Great Ocean Road, Australia – Dec 2015

Port Campbell is a small town west of Twelve Apostles, we came here for our meals during our stay at Macka’s Farm.  There are a number of hostels and motels in the town, and a variety of restaurants.

Cutler & Co @ Melbourne (Fitzroy), Australia

We started off with a great dinner on our first night and it continued on to our second night.

Cutler & Co is located in Fitzroy, north-east of central Melbourne.  We had our rental car with us so getting there was easy.  Again, there was no special holiday menu (which I was never a fan).   And of course, kids friendly, with kids menu too.

Love the high ceiling, the space and modern deco.

Tipo 00 @ Melbourne, Australia

Due to it was holiday seasons, I made reservations for Christmas Eve, eve of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve almost a month in advance.

Our first dinner in Melbourne was at this small Italian restaurant on Little Bourke Street.  Not only do they welcome kids, they also served their regular menu on the 23rd. 🙂

They don’t have a big menu but they do very good dishes especially their pasta.

It is a small place and very popular so reservations is highly recommended.
