Top in my Bangkok agenda was to give Asia’s No. 1 restaurant a try.
I had checked with the restaurant to make sure children are welcomed and there are non-spicy dishes that we could order for them. The restaurant has an elegant ambience but not intimidating…I didn’t have to worry about my kids disturbing other guests though they have their gadgets.
We ordered canapes, salad, soup, curry and other mains to share. Although I have read reviews about their dishes, I was not expecting such level of spiciness, and majority of their dishes are spicy. Unfortunately for me, I wondered if I was able to truly appreciate the meal.
Appetizer on the house
Blue swimmer crab, peanuts, garlic on rice crackers – turned out that the leaves on top are very hot.
Lobster and mangosteen salad
Grilled pork cheek – ordered for the kids
Stir-fried wagyu beef – for kids
Soft shell crab
This is for durian lovers…
