Thanks to our dear friends for taking us to this hidden treasure…
It would never come across my mind to walk into a place like this if I pass by…
Quite a busy place, still have people walking in when we left around 9pm.
This restaurant is sure very popular, we could only get the earlier dining session even though we booked more than a week in advance. Excellent choice to celebrate hubby’s birthday though.
Chef showing us today’s catch
Tataki of Bonito
Guess the photo explains all – my favorite of the night
Grilled Anago with Foie Gras
Japanese Ohmi Wagyu
Gyokuro – very special green tea – very light in color but very strong taste…like tasting leaves off a tree
Raspberry with Wasabi, Honey & Vinegar
Ghin Cheese Cake – my other favorite of the night – very light cheese cake with a bit of lemon curd inside
Petit Fours was surprisingly good
Even got to see the light show
Made this for hubby’s birthday…baked each layer separately using 8-inch pans. Felt like something was not right..maybe the bananas were not properly ripen.
Apart from their coffee, dinner not bad as well. Too bad didn’t get to have their cheese board this time.
Roast pork, very tender
Grill scallop with Parma ham
Have been trying to avoid using fondant cause I don’t like to eat them but I must say they are best for kids celebration cake/cupcake.
And I have finally done it for F’s birthday.
There is no fondant here but the mini figures are too cute
Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time, could have done better
